Sony releases Android 12 update for Xperia 10 II

I promised SonyBoth Xperia 10 II So does the Xperia 10 III update to Android 12. With the new firmware ready for the latest model, it is now bringing the first batch of Android 12 updates to the Mark II.

However, the OTA update appears to be limited to Southeast Asia, at least for the time being. The update package itself has a size of 900MB and the build number is 59.2.A.0.422. Security patch starts March 2022 instead of February 2022 like Xperia 10 III.

Reddit users fantasy Share the screenshot on the forum and wrote:

“Everyone seems to have Android 12. But the Android 12 upgrade is the best thing that can happen to the Xperia 10 ii. It makes the mid-range phone very slowly become very smooth and responsive. Chrome, YouTube and other apps that have been crashing or crashing/slowing It’s now working pretty smoothly. I have a feeling the people criticizing Android 12 are probably mostly flagship users. With the flagships running smoothly right out of the box compared to mid-range devices, the improvement for flagship users is minimal.”

The current rollout appears to be just a test with a small group of users. It won’t take long for Android 12 to be distributed worldwide.
