Year after year, Saalfelden Leogang becomes a training ground for the elite of European football. Also this summer, players of many top teams dribbled across the area’s lawns and used the perfect infrastructure to prepare for the season or tournament.

With suitable football grounds including hotels and team building opportunities, Saalfelden Leogang has been a touch point for some of the world’s top football clubs when it comes to training camps for years. Also this year: Last summer, Hannover 96, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Feyenoord Rotterdam, the Norwegian U-21 national team and seven other teams pitched their tents in the area. Among them were the youth teams of Bayern Munich and WSG Tyrol, who took advantage of the exemplary infrastructure in their neighboring countries to hone their techniques, fitness and tactics.

Austrian Series champion Red Bull Salzburg was also in the area for training purposes. The Mozartstadters spent eight days of intense training on and off the field in the programme. In addition to the exclusive display of international shirts, the Bulls also had a trial duel against Legia Warsaw in Saalfelden Leogang.
