Belkin Unveils New 14-in-1 Thunderbolt 5 Dock With 140W Charging and Support for Up to Three 4K Displays

Premium Docking Station Targets Power Users and Multi-Display Workstations

Belkin has introduced a new 14-in-1 Thunderbolt 5 Dock, expanding its lineup of connectivity solutions for professionals, creators, and power users. The dock has launched in China with a retail price of 2,299 yuan, or about $338, and includes a 180W power adapter along with a 1-meter Thunderbolt 5 cable.

The release comes shortly after competing accessory maker Baseus introduced its Spacemate RD1 Pro docking station, highlighting growing demand for high-performance desktop connectivity solutions as laptops continue to replace traditional desktop PCs in many workplaces.

Thunderbolt 5 Delivers High-Speed Data Transfers and 140W Charging

The new Belkin dock connects to a laptop through a single Thunderbolt 5 upstream port, simplifying workstation setups while providing power, data, video, and peripheral connectivity through one cable.

The dock supports up to 140W USB Power Delivery, enough to charge many high-performance laptops, including workstation-class Windows systems and select USB-C-powered devices.

For data transfers, the Thunderbolt 5 connection offers up to 80Gbps of bandwidth under standard operation. When connected to demanding high-resolution displays, available bandwidth can dynamically increase to 120Gbps, allowing the system to accommodate more intensive video workloads without sacrificing performance.

Advanced Display Support for High-Resolution Monitors

Up to 8K Output and Triple 4K Displays on Windows

Belkin has equipped the dock with both DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 outputs. Each port supports resolutions up to 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 240Hz, depending on the capabilities of the connected display.

The dock also includes two downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports that can carry video signals while delivering up to 15W of power to connected accessories.

For Windows users, the dock can support up to three external 4K displays running at 144Hz. Including a laptop’s built-in screen, that enables a four-display workspace suitable for content creation, software development, financial trading, and other multitasking-heavy workflows.

Mac Compatibility Depends on Apple Silicon Generation

Compatibility with macOS varies depending on the processor inside the Mac. Systems powered by newer Apple Silicon chips, including M4 and M5 models, can take advantage of multiple external displays through the dock.

Older M1, M2, and M3 Macs remain subject to Apple’s display limitations, meaning the number of supported monitors depends on the capabilities of the specific chip rather than the dock itself.

Wide Range of Ports for Everyday Desktop Connectivity

The 14-in-1 dock includes a broad selection of ports designed to replace multiple adapters and hubs:

• One USB-C 3.2 port with up to 30W charging
• One USB-C 3.2 port with up to 7.5W power output
• One USB-A 3.2 port with 10Gbps transfer speeds

• UHS-II SD 4.0 card reader
• UHS-II microSD 4.0 card reader

The SD and microSD readers support transfer speeds of up to 312MB/s, making them useful for photographers, videographers, and other content creators working with large media files.

Compact Aluminum Design Includes Enterprise Features

Belkin houses the dock in an aluminum chassis measuring 22.2 x 8.5 x 2 centimeters and weighing approximately 510 grams. The design incorporates a thermal management system to help maintain stable performance during intensive workloads.

Additional features include a dedicated power button, LED status indicator, and a Kensington security lock slot, making the dock suitable for office environments where device security is a priority.

Availability and Potential Global Launch

The dock is compatible with Thunderbolt 4, USB4, and USB-C devices, although performance is reduced when operating outside of Thunderbolt 5. Thunderbolt 3 devices are not supported.

While Belkin has only officially launched the product in China, signs point to a broader international release. The company briefly listed the dock on its global website with a price of $350 before removing the page, suggesting that a wider rollout could be announced in the near future.

As demand for high-bandwidth peripherals and multi-monitor setups continues to grow, Belkin’s latest Thunderbolt 5 dock aims to provide a single-cable solution for users seeking desktop-class connectivity from modern laptops.
