Nussbach. On Sunday, September 29, at 4 p.m. in the multi-purpose hall of the Nussbach Primary School, the curtain will open on a magical adventure: The Nussbach Theater Company will perform “Ronia, the Robber’s Daughter” based on the famous classic by Astrid Lindgren.
Born on a stormy night, little Ronja quickly becomes a favorite of her father Mathis and his band of thieves. But time flies, and Ronja is soon drawn into Mathis's mysterious forest, where she encounters strange creatures: furtive grey gnomes, easily excitable scavenger birds, and terrifying wild drudges. In her daring explorations, she meets Birk, the son of her arch-enemy Borka, and the two secretly become friends. When Mathis discovers this, the feud between the two families threatens to jeopardize their newfound freedom.
A timeless tale of courage and freedom.
Ronja, the Robber's Daughter is not only an exciting, adventurous play, but also a call for unity and friendship that overcomes all boundaries. Astrid Lindgren's message is more relevant today than ever: it takes courage to go your own way, maintain friendships and stand up for what you believe in.
The exciting production, full of joyful, wild and wonderful moments, can be seen from Sunday 29 September at 4pm (premiere) in the multi-purpose hall of Nussbach Primary School.
