After a very rainy match last Saturday, the Violets have better weather prospects this weekend. In the fourth round of the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga, Stefan Kenesi's team will visit FC Bergheim in Salzburg. So far, the Violets are the only team besides SKN St. Pölten that have not dropped any points after three rounds.
Bergheim should not be underestimated.
At first glance, Salzburg look like easy opponents, currently sitting second from bottom in the table. So far this season, they have only managed to score one point, a draw against Lustenau/Dornbirn. However, the team should not be underestimated. Last week, Bergheim beat SCR Altach 2-1 in the second round of the cup and knocked out the favourites from the SPORTLAND Niederösterreich Women's Cup.
The table status is deceptive.
Carina Weninger also knows not to be fooled by the current table position: “Bergheim are a very loud team. They defend very well and play very purposefully, straight forward. Even though they haven't taken points in the championship they have performed well so far, and the fact that they knocked Altach out of the cup says enough about their qualities.”
Next Saturday's match will be another tough away game, and you will have to be well prepared for it. Kick-off is at 2pm Bergheim time. ÖFB TV Live broadcast.
