Trio Koschelu & Hojsa celebrate the real Viennese song at Stefansplatzerl

St. Stefan Avisel. The next event organised by the Kiste Cultural Association (Culture on Stefansplatzerl) will bring the best of Viennese music to the stage on September 28.

The artist trio is one of the most important groups in Viennese music and is distinguished by a particularly original interpretation of Viennese music. Constanze Huisa follows in the footsteps of her father Tommy Huisa and her grandfather, Viennese song legend Walter Huisa. Together with Rudi Koschellow on double guitar, father and daughter demonstrate their great love for Viennese song in an authentic, unaffected performance. Her deep knowledge of the repertoire and her natural two-part harmony result in a wonderfully lively whole. It makes your heart soar when you can hear old Viennese songs live and live again.

Music Missions

Less than two weeks later, the Fund ventures into “musical expeditions”. As an alternative to the group formation, a trio emerged in 2017 at the Bruckner University Linz, consisting of Theresa Lehner from Styrig, Katharina Bachinger from Feldkirchen and Alexander Maurer from Berndorf near Salzburg. The Styrian harmonica meets dulcimer, harp, vocals and clarinet – original compositions meet the music of Astor Piazzolla, George Gershwin, Elvis Presley and Nina Simone. The aim of the musical experimentation is to open up new horizons in the Styrian harmonica.
