sPX / Cologne. At the end of the year, Ford GT production will end. Farewell, the manufacturer presents the Edition LM for the last 20 super sports cars. The acronym “LM” stands for Le Mans and is intended to celebrate the Ford GT40 class’s victory at the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The LM version of the Ford GT 492 kW / 669 hp comes in Silver paint (Liquid Silver); Carbon fiber components such as the front splitter, side skirts, door sill trim and rear diffuser are painted red or blue. The 20-inch carbon fiber wheels have red or blue accents. The red and blue color scheme of the Le Mans Ford GT is reminiscent of the starting number 68 which is mainly painted in these colors, with the driver and front passenger seats as well as the dashboard covered in Alcantara. The center console and air outlets feature shimmering carbon fiber decorative elements. The model plate, which indicates the Special Limited model’s serial number on the dashboard, is made from the crankshaft of a Ford GT with starting number 69. It finished third at Le Mans in 2016.
Ford did not say prices, but the special model will cost more than half a million euros.
