The Dell XPS 13 (9310) is now also available with an OLED option

The Dell XPS 13 (9310) is now also available with an optional OLED display. The manufacturer announced this now at a press conference. Accordingly, the now popular ultrabook will also be available with a 13.4-inch OLED touch screen with a resolution of 3456 x 2160 pixels, covering 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and achieving brightness up to 400 nits. Thanks to the OLED technology, rich black values ​​and contrast values ​​of 100,000: 1 can be achieved. The surface remains capacitive, allowing for fingertip or stylus input. The previously available UHD + and FHD + variants will still be available, of course. The displays are protected by Gorilla Glass 6.

Nothing changes under the hood. Depending on the budget, the current Tiger Lake processor from 11th generation up to Intel Core i7-1185G7 including integrated Xe graphics does its job. There is also a LPDDR4X memory up to 32GB with 4267MHz and a fast NVMe SSD with a storage capacity of 256GB up to 2TB. The full-metal body is CNC milled and has a modern carbon look, although there is an all-white version.

On the connectivity side, there are two Thunderbolt 4 interfaces, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm jack for connecting headphones. The range of delivery includes a Type-C to Type-A adapter, which can also be used to connect classic USB devices. Wireless connectivity is via WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The fingerprint sensor is integrated directly into the power button, just like the webcam is at the slim edge of the screen. The built-in battery should last up to 19 hours, depending on configuration and field of application.
