Toys for Bob is working with Xbox on a new game – SHOCK2

As Toys for Bob announced in a tweet, the studio is working with Xbox on a new title.

Toys for Bob, the studio behind popular franchises like Skylanders, Spyro, and Crash Bandicoot, has announced a partnership with Microsoft for its next game following its pitch from Activision Blizzard in March of this year.

“We are pleased to announce that we will be partnering with Xbox to release our next new game,” the studio said. “We're still in the early stages of development, so you may not hear from us for a while — but rest assured we're hard at work on an experience we're incredibly excited about! We can't wait to share more.”

Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard in January of this year has created uncertainty about the future of Toys for Bob. However, the studio decided to go independent in March, saying it was “confident” to continue working with both Activision Blizzard and Microsoft.

This new partnership with Xbox seems to confirm that claim. The exact details of the game Toys for Bob is working on are still unclear, but the studio's experience with platformers and family-friendly titles point to an exciting new project.
