Preview the new Firefox settings

Mozilla is working on a redesign of Firefox settings. This article provides a preview of it.

When Mozilla laid out its plans in May for what it would be working on in the coming months, there was also talk of revising privacy settings, which are supposed to be easier to understand. In fact, there are signs that Firefox’s settings interface is being completely redesigned.

A UI prototype The new Firefox settings interface gives a first glimpse of what’s to come. What’s striking is that the many options in the new design are divided into more categories than before. When necessary, navigation is now done through multiple levels instead of displaying everything underneath each other or in dialog boxes. Overall, the options are simpler and no longer confusing the user as much as the previous settings design.

It should be explicitly noted at this point that this is an early prototype implementation of the interface. In terms of structure and design, things in the final product may differ significantly from what we see here. However, the prototype shows an idea of ​​where Mozilla wants to go with Firefox settings.
