Katarina Schützenhofer / Lena Plessiuchnig were eliminated in the 4 * World Championships quarter-finals in Cancun on Sunday.
The Styrians lost to top seed Brazilian Agatha / Duda 0: 2 (-13, -14). The ÖVV duo previously celebrated three wins, including 2-0 in the second round against Megumi Murakami / Miki Ishii (JPN) and 2-1 in the Round of 16 against Katja Stam / Raisa Schoon (NED). Fifth place brings 480 points for the Olympic ranking.
After this tournament, a third 4-star tournament will be held on the coast of Mexico, the third in a row.
