Borealis: Michael Schenck becomes vice president of treasury and finance

Borealis has announced the appointment of Michael Schenck as Vice President, Treasury and Finance effective January 1, 2023. Schenck succeeds Jean-Martin Noverre, who has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Borouge PLC effective November 1, 2022.

Michael Schenk, Director of Internal Audit and Risk Management, joined Borealis in 2008 as Head of Wire & Cable Control. In 2009, he became Head of Business Finance at Polyolefins & Innotech, and in 2013 he took over as Group Head of Corporate Finance and Investor Relations. Since 2017, Michael has held the position of Chief Audit Executive in the Internal Audit and Risk Management department.

Stops in Zurich and London

Prior to joining Borealis, Michael Schenk worked in group treasury at UBS Group in Zurich, Switzerland and as an investment analyst at UBS Investment in London, UK. He holds a Master’s degree in International Business Administration from the University of Vienna.

Michael Schenk succeeds Jean-Martin Noverre, who was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Borouge PLC on November 1, 2022.
