Dortmund Borussia Dortmund agreed to immediately schedule a Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen after the national soccer team’s trip to the United States.
“There is no other solution, we will play the game this Friday,” sporting director Sebastian Kehl told pay TV channel Sky before the game at SC Freiburg. “We’ll accept it as it is,” but point out that the problem won’t come up again. “It’s definitely not ideal,” Kell said.
The DFB selection heads to the US for two games in October. The match against Mexico in Philadelphia will take place at 2 a.m. Germany time on Wednesday, after which the team will return to Germany. Next Friday, BVB will play against Werder Bremen, who sent five specialists to the September matches without the ill Niklas Fulkrug.
Kehl said he was therefore in contact with the German Football League, the German Football Association and the broadcaster. The Bremen game can be seen on streaming service DAZN.
