While Final Fantasy fans eagerly await the release of Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, they are now joined by another title in the JRPG series on PC: Ever Crisis that is also set to arrive on the home console.
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is sure to be familiar to Final Fantasy fans. This is a mobile demo that is already available for Android and iOS. In the future, the game should also cause a sensation on PC; Square Enix has now officially confirmed working on such an implementation.
Ever Crisis has immersed mobile gamers in the dystopian world of Final Fantasy VII on smartphones and tablets. It relies on a combination of classic storytelling and modern graphics, where you also manage to discover new stories within the seventh part of the game world. While you can also follow Cloud Strife’s original story, the spin-off also allowed you to delve into Zack Fair’s backstory from Crisis Core, which takes place seven years before the events of Final Fantasy VII.
The PC version of the game will be released not only for Windows, but also for the popular Steam platform. There are no specific details about the release date and improvements over the mobile version yet – with one exception: the PC version allows data exchange with the already available mobile version of Ever Crisis. So you will be able to switch back and forth between PC and mobile without losing any progress in the game.
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is available for iOS and Android; A PC version is officially in the works.
