In recent years, the midfielder has been under contract with Hellas Verona in Italy, AFC Sunderland and FC Everton in England and SC Sand in Germany, and can look at 60 appearances in three big countries. From 2011 to 2016, Bruinenberg spent her time in the Netherlands with SC Telstar and ADO Den Haag before venturing abroad.
In 2019, the former youth international returned home to PEC Zwolle, in the 2021/22 season she donned her football boots in Germany. Recently, she’s been quite a regular at Telstar, where she didn’t miss a minute last season.
