History and information about patch and game content

(Motorsport-Total.com) – The delay in providing additional game content for the Dakar Desert Rally, which was already planned as part of the roadmap for 2022 and 2023, and the associated wait for further improvements, have left buyers of the game understandably frustrated over the past few months.

The last major update for the Dakar Cross-country Rally is imminent

Fortunately, the somewhat ambiguous reports on water levels of the past few months, which originally called for more patience, have now ended. The development team recently announced that the major patch, which is now referred to as the “Fall Update,” will be released on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. At the same time, some highlights have been named that Dakar Desert Rally pilots can look forward to.

The Audi RS Q e-tron will be available to all players as a free vehicle, and more free game content has been announced with SnowRunner Cars (5 new vehicles and 2 new events).

The SnowRunner Cars pack has been expanded to include 2 events and 9 stages with tough gameplay environments that can be mastered in Free Roam mode or in Rally Raid competition. There are also other classic Dakar classics, and in contrast to the classics, there are new modern cars with hybrid engines.

It can also be assumed that several inconsistencies and bugs have been resolved since the last update in April 2023. The changelog should show what has been improved. Even if Saber Porto Ltd./Saber Interactive has not discussed this further yet, the update coming in a few days will likely be the last major product maintenance measure.

Once all the originally promised Season Pass game content and features were released – the Team Customization Tool that allows you to create your own car builds, Replay Mode and Images, and the Roadbook Editor were released for the 11/28 update. Confirmed – the focus should be on completely new projects.
