So now Caracol de la Roque is set to continue his career with American rider Carl Cook. The 32-year-old has represented the U.S. in three World Cup finals and most recently won back-to-back with Mare Kalinga van Tsorgvliet at the five-star level.
He has something in common with his new horse. Caracol de la Roque, who turned eleven on January 1, won the time trial with Julien Epaillard at last year’s World Championships in Herning. They won the Grand Prix of St. Lo and Lyon and the World Cup Show-Jumping – behind each other. With two clear rounds they contributed to France’s second place in the Nations Cup final in Barcelona and won the World Cup and another class in Madrid. The last tournament was CHI Geneva, where they left exceptionally empty-handed. It has won 16 matches in 2022 alone.
