Linz – Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 12:20 pm
FC Blau-Weiß Linz rises to his role as favourites at the end of Round 11 of the Second Admiral League and celebrates with a 3-1 home win against Young Violets.
The start of the game is not good for the Linzers: Nils Hahn puts Jung-Veilchen ahead in the sixth minute. Rafael Duamena has a great chance of equalizing, but his free kick hits the crossbar.
The fact that Blau-Weiß did not concede another goal in the first half is mainly due to goalkeeper Nicholas Schmid, who made three brilliant saves.
After a duel between Maisel and Sordanovic, there is a caution for a penalty kick in Violet’s penalty area, but the referee does not blow the whistle. Shortly before the break whistle, the hosts managed to equalize: Srdanovic nibbled two opponents and watched Fabio Strauss, who finished with skill (44).
Joker clock strikes Alexander Kostik in the second half. Just five minutes after being substituted, he dusted off after hitting the crossbar from Seidl (51) – blue and white tipping the match. In the end, Seidl scored the final result with his first goal in the second division (85th place).
The Linzers increased their points tally to 23 and moved the table back to one point over second-placed FC Liefering (24). Young Violets is twelfth with ten points.
