For the first time in two years, Dominic Thiem is competing in turf again today at the ATP Championships in Mallorca.
The Austrian lower-seeded will face France’s Adrien Mannarino in their opening match (from around 6pm LIVE-tape).
The US Open winner has nothing but very good memories of being number 42 in the ATP rankings, having won all eight of his previous encounters. However, the ninth duel is something new, for the first time they are facing each other on the grass. The last confrontation at the Australian Open 2020 so far, Tim has clearly won by three sentences.
