
On November 9, 2019, Philip Schöpsberger had his last assignment so far with the combat team of SK Rapid Vienna Completed. Then there was a cruciate ligament injury during training before he followed the long way back. In March of this year, the Linz native celebrated a comeback with the second team, which lasted only a quarter of an hour, as Schöpsberger sustained a thigh injury.
In an interview with sky The 27-year-old said of his current state of health: “Unfortunately we talked too much and for too long about my comeback. It was clear from the start that it was a serious injury and that there were setbacks in rehabilitation. I have already gained experience in the second team, but my thigh is not Where should I go back.”
The upper Austrian did not lose the joy of football for a long time: “It is very interesting to train, even if I only participated in parts with the team. I cannot imagine life without football. For me there is only football,” said the winger.
