Indian Space Research Organization has arrived at a new landmark as 28-hour countdown has begun for the launch of PSLV-C40/Cartosat 2 Series satellite mission. With more than 250 satellites in orbits through Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) ISRO is further adding feathers to its cap.
This time around, ISRO is showcasing the use of multiple-burn technology. The 28-hour countdown began at 5:29 am today. The PSLV-C40 will place ISRO’s 100th satellite in orbit. Tomorrow ISRO will complete launching 31 satellites in one go.
Although the previous PSLV mission failed ISRO is absolutely motivated to make this a successful one. Anyhow the rocket has the same configuration as demonstrated in previous missions.
Although multiple-burn technology has no many challenges, ISRO is upbeat about the success and one can only hope this is only the beginning of ISRO in the big league.
