CUPERTINO (dpa-AFX) – Apple is expected to introduce its next iPhone models in two weeks. The company is inviting you to a new product event on September 9 at its headquarters in Cupertino. At September events, the next generation of the Apple Watch computer watch is traditionally presented alongside the new iPhones. Apple itself remains tight-lipped about what to expect until the end.
The iPhone is the group's most important product and brings in about half of its revenue. It is also the basis for selling other products such as earphones and subscription services.
Traditionally, new iPhones have, among other things, faster chips and a better camera. According to information from the financial service Bloomberg, the iPhone 16 is not expected to have any significant design changes – but the more expensive Pro models could have larger screens. An additional shutter button for the camera has also been reported.
Apple also wants to equip its devices with new functions based on artificial intelligence more than ever before this year. However, some of them will not be available in the EU at first. The group points to the legal uncertainties caused by the Digital DMA, which sets rules for large platforms./so/DP/nas
