FRANKFURT (Dow Jones) – Wacker Chemie shares showed a premium in trading after the close on Wednesday. Driven by high polysilicon prices and strong demand in the chemicals segment, the company raised its sales and earnings guidance for the current year. Lang & Schwarz’s share was firmer at 1.5 percent.
Südzucker titles were more taxed at 2 percent. In the second fiscal quarter, the company increased its operating profit significantly more than its sales. However, the sugar producer confirmed expectations due to the continuing risks associated with the pandemic.
For papers from MBB, it is up 1.5 percent. The holding company increases the share repurchase program. The company now wants to buy back up to 60,000 of its shares on the stock exchange and spend a maximum of €10.0 million on them.
