FC Red Bull Salzburg has opened a new training site in the south of the state in cooperation with the Salzburg Football Association (SFV). The project is called “Next Soizburger”.
“Talents who live far south of Salzburg and therefore do not have the opportunity to complete them in Liefering are receiving comprehensive football training,” the club said in a live broadcast in Lind im Pinzgau.
The decision was made in favor of Lend because it is easily accessible at the regional level, SV Lend does not currently have youth teams and synergies with existing LAZ bases of the association can be used.
U9 . program started
The U9 support program was launched in mid-April, and a new U10 team will start working from the second half of 2022.
The goal is, among other things, to develop talents for admission to the Red Bull U15 Academy.
‘Everyone should benefit’
Bernard Sjönbuchner, Sports Director of Red Bull Football Academy, explains: “The main idea behind this project is that as many children as possible receive the best possible football education in the immediate vicinity of their country. Everyone who participates in football and then benefits from this: Children, clubs in the region, the Salzburg Federation and professional football in Salzburg.
Robert Chutt, SFV Sports Director: “The ‘Next Soizburger’ project is the result of many years of good collaboration between SFV and the Red Bull Football Academy in the field of talent development and a very good symbiosis between these two institutions. The focus is on better promoting our best talent in the southern provinces of Our federal mandate through targeted training and load control and implementation of training priorities during the Games.”
