So Slavia Prague is not unrivaled after all!
LASK’s opponents in the round of 16 of the European Conference League lost 1-0 in the first leg against Slovan Liberec in the 25th round of the Czech Premier League. The series champion conceded his first defeat after seven consecutive competitive victories and drove into the second leg at St. Polten with dented self-confidence.
The disaster for red and white starts early: in the 14th minute of the match, Olayinka put the ball into his team’s goal after a cross. Shortly thereafter, the guests acted with a majority, as the Liberec Stetina defender (20) flies off the field in straight red after a shameless rise.
Then Slavia dominated the match, finding one opportunity after another – but despairing of goalkeeper Knobloch several times. Finally, the first bankruptcy since mid-February appeared on the books.
As a result, the series champion (60 points) fell to second place behind Victoria Belsen (63 points).
