On Thursday (from 11:45 a.m. on the live stream) the first Men’s World Cup of the current season will take place in Val Gardena.
All of the trips originally scheduled in Zermatt and Beaver Creek fell victim to the weather. One of the canceled races has been moved to Val Gardena, meaning the Saslong weekend will begin with an abbreviated departure on Thursday.
The first descent will be opened by Canadian Cameron Alexander. The first Austrian followed shortly thereafter, Marco Schwarz. Carinthian drawing number three.
The first competitor in the first group will be Swiss Marco Odermatt (6). The next ÖSV athlete is Daniel Himitzberger (9th), followed immediately by favorite Alexander Kjeld (NOR/10th) from the starting house.
Vincent Kriechmayr completes the first group with the number 15. Otmar Stridinger is appointed with the number 17.
Other ÖSV athletes starting are Daniel Dunkelmayer (28), Christopher Neumayer (35), Stefan Babinski (44) and Johannes Strolls (58), who will make his World Cup debut in downhill.
