(Motorsport-Total.com) – Red Bull has unveiled a special fan-designed livery for its Formula 1 racing car, the RB19, for the Miami Grand Prix.

This is what a custom-built Miami Red Bull RB19 looks like

The team announced ahead of the season that it will compete in three unique 2023 American Formula 1 races in Miami, Austin and Las Vegas. As part of the so-called “Make Your Mark” competition, fans can create colorful designs.

Argentina’s Martina Adriano designed the winning design for this year’s Miami Grand Prix. The graphic design student worked on pink, teal, and purple stripes on the side, nose, and front wing of the RB19. These are colors closely associated with Miami.

Its design was chosen by a committee that included team boss Christian Horner and several key Milton Keynes team partners.

“Die ‘Make Your Mark’-Initiative is großartig. Unseren Fans die Möglichkeit zu geben, unser Design bei den drei Rennen in den USA zu beeinflussen, ist etwas, was andere Teams nicht tun”, schwärmt Horner über den Red-Bull-eigenen competition.

“It’s important for the team that we can get our fans involved in our work and give them unique opportunities like this. Martina has done a great job and it looks great to see in person.”

“The design keeps the spirit of who we are while also immortalizing Miami in the RB19. We will definitely stand out when you see the car on the track.”

“The first thing I thought about when I started my design was how the air flows through and over the car, how it moves and how fast it goes, and that’s my inspiration,” explains Adriano. “Then of course I wanted to represent Miami and Miami and all of that was my inspiration.”

“Since I started studying graphic design, I wanted to design something for a car, like a paint job, a suit or a helmet. Even before that I knew that one day I wanted to work in Formula 1.”

For Adriano, this is the first race ever. “The car will have my design and I’ll be in the garage,” said the Argentine happily. “It’s going to be a great week.”
