Washington Christmas Eve was particularly cold in America. The thermometer showed minus nine degrees, according to the “Washington Post,” the coldest temperature ever recorded on December 24. As families gathered in front of Christmas trees across the US, three buses in Washington made their way to the US Naval Observatory, the official home of US Vice President Kamala Harris.
The buses from Texas were carrying more than 100 migrants, including small children, some wearing T-shirts. As local agencies were alerted, the bus passengers were picked up by aid agencies.
It was not immediately clear if Texas authorities were involved. But the stunt was similar to what Republican-controlled states along America’s southern border have done more publicly over the past year.
