Sweden sat alone after 90 minutes, with the Scandinavians finishing the match 3-1 with Japan. In the semifinals next Monday, the United States will face Canada, while Sweden will face Australia.

The British were in the semifinals against Australia before Samantha Kerr scored 2-2 in the 89th minute. The attacker then scored a solid goal 4: 2. Ellen White’s three goals were too short for Great Britain, and Caroline Weir missed a penalty in extra time. Canada ended without a goal against Brazil, with goalkeeper Stephanie Lappe then saving two attempts by the South Americans in a penalty shoot-out.
