A 73-year-old woman was simply forgotten by her relatives at a rest stop in Germany last night. The woman had gone to the toilet and when she returned, her brother and his wife were gone.

A 73-year-old woman was forgotten at a German rest stop on Autobahn 96 near Wiedergeltingen on Sunday evening.

As police said, the 73-year-old woman, her 67-year-old brother and his wife took a break in a parking lot on the way from Bosnia to Switzerland. The woman went to the toilet and when she returned the car was gone. A man called the police about a “miserable old lady without a jacket.”

According to the information, the brother did not notice his sister getting out of the car. Shortly before Zurich, the couple noticed that the 73-year-old was no longer in the car. The brother immediately returned to the Swabian district of Unteralgau. After about four hours, the siblings were reunited at the police station and continued their journey.
