Buffalo Niagara International Airport is expanding its nonstop flight options for summer 2027, with Breeze Airways announcing new routes to two popular South Carolina destinations and additional service to North Carolina. The expansion will provide Western New York travelers with more direct connections to coastal vacation destinations and the Raleigh-Durham region.
Buffalo Airport Adds New Nonstop Routes to South Carolina
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Breeze Airways plans to introduce nonstop flights from Buffalo Niagara International Airport to Myrtle Beach and Charleston, South Carolina, beginning in July 2027.
The low-cost carrier also announced service connecting Buffalo with Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina, scheduled to begin in late June.
The new flights will expand travel options for passengers departing from Buffalo and surrounding Western New York communities, particularly during the busy summer vacation season.
Myrtle Beach and Charleston are popular destinations for travelers seeking beaches, outdoor recreation, historic attractions and coastal experiences.
Myrtle Beach Flights Begin July 1, 2027
Breeze Airways will launch nonstop service between Buffalo and Myrtle Beach on Thursday, July 1, 2027.
Flights will operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays.
The schedule provides travelers with options for extended weekend vacations and weeklong trips to one of South Carolina’s best-known coastal tourism destinations.
Myrtle Beach attracts visitors with its Atlantic Ocean beaches, golf courses, entertainment venues and family-oriented attractions.
The new nonstop connection will allow Buffalo-area passengers to reach the destination without changing planes at another airport.
Charleston Nonstop Service Starts July 2
The airline’s new Buffalo-to-Charleston route will begin Friday, July 2, 2027.
Flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays, providing twice-weekly nonstop service between the two cities.
Charleston is known for its historic downtown, coastal scenery, restaurants and cultural attractions.
The new route will provide another direct travel option for Western New York residents visiting South Carolina, including passengers traveling for leisure or personal reasons.
Both South Carolina routes represent new nonstop connections from Buffalo Niagara International Airport.
Breeze Airways Expands Buffalo-to-Raleigh-Durham Service
In addition to the South Carolina destinations, Breeze Airways will introduce flights between Buffalo and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, beginning June 29, 2027.
The airline plans to operate the route four days per week, with flights scheduled on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The service will offer more frequent departures than either of the newly announced South Carolina routes.
Raleigh-Durham serves North Carolina’s Research Triangle region, which includes Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.
The area is home to major universities, technology companies, research institutions and growing business communities.
The additional nonstop service could benefit passengers traveling between Western New York and central North Carolina for business, education, family visits or vacations.
Frontier Airlines Already Offers Seasonal Raleigh Flights
Breeze Airways will not be the only airline connecting Buffalo with the Raleigh area.
Frontier Airlines currently operates seasonal service between Buffalo and Raleigh-Durham, according to the original announcement.
Breeze’s entry will introduce another airline option on the route, potentially giving travelers greater flexibility when planning trips.
Unlike the Raleigh-Durham connection, the newly announced Myrtle Beach and Charleston routes will add nonstop destinations that were not previously offered from Buffalo.
New Buffalo Flight Schedule for Summer 2027
The announced Breeze Airways routes include the following schedules:
| Destination | Service begins | Operating days |
|---|---|---|
| Myrtle Beach, South Carolina | July 1, 2027 | Thursday, Sunday |
| Charleston, South Carolina | July 2, 2027 | Monday, Friday |
| Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina | June 29, 2027 | Monday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday |
Bookings for the newly announced flights were scheduled to open Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
Specific departure times, ticket prices and additional operational details were not included in the announcement.
More Summer Travel Options for Western New York
The route expansion comes as airlines continue to serve demand for convenient nonstop connections between regional airports and popular domestic destinations.
For Buffalo-area travelers, direct flights can eliminate the need for connecting itineraries through larger airport hubs.
The new South Carolina routes may be particularly attractive to vacationers planning summer trips, while the Raleigh-Durham service will provide additional access to a major North Carolina business and education center.
The announcement also broadens the selection of destinations available through Buffalo Niagara International Airport.
With three Breeze Airways routes scheduled to begin between June 29 and July 2, 2027, Western New York passengers will have additional nonstop travel options for the summer season. The expansion strengthens Buffalo’s connections to the southeastern United States, with new service to Myrtle Beach and Charleston alongside additional flights to Raleigh-Durham.
