After a long hiatus: Rylart begins in the United States

After several months without competition, trio Michael Rylard will start the first race of the season next Saturday. Rostock participates in Ironman 70.3 in St. George, USA. The 40-year-old endurance athlete will run 1.9 km, bike 90 km and 13.1 km at the Open North American Championships in Utah.

“I’m interested in what the race will be like,” says Rallard. “For me it’s a privilege to be able to run a race again.” Over the past few weeks and months, Michael Rylard has been looking forward to this season, especially one made in his hometown. Trips abroad were canceled and the focus was on training. Together with his brother Andreas, Michael Rylard tried to make the situation better.

After the forced break, Rylart helps the siblings’ younger endurance test with extra motivation. “The starting list is flashed by many famous names. Lionel Sanders of Canada, Americans Rodolf Van Berg, Ben Connaught and Matt Hanson.
