A total of 56 acts are taking place, one for every 50 states, and the capital is Washington and the district of Colombia with five territories: American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.

As with the original, each of these areas will give the same score regardless of its size. From March 29, viewers in German-speaking countries will receive a picture of ASC on Service TV every Tuesday evening for a week.
