Display specialist AOC now introduces its new “Graphic Pro U3” series, three hardware-calibrated monitors suitable for photographers, photo editors, graphic designers and video producers. Frameless displays have a 16:9 format and represent 98% of the DCI-P3 color space DeltaE <2 promises high color accuracy. AOC Graphic Pro displays are Calman Ready certified, meaning they are able to communicate directly with Portrait Displays' Calman color calibration software. Users can use automatic calibration (AutoCal) functions with Calman software and calibrate devices using a compatible colorimeter. AutoCal allows control of RGB triads at the scale level and creation of 1D/3D LUT profiles for optimal color representation. Compared to custom ICC profiles that only adjust the visual image, the advantage of a 1D/3D LUT (look-up table) solution is direct display calibration at the hardware level.
U3 screens are adjustable in height by 15 cm and can be tilted, swivel (pivot function) and swivel. It is equipped with various ports, including an HDMI 1.4/2.0 input, a DisplayPort 1.4 input, and a USB-C hub with an RJ-45 input. The hub (10Gbps bandwidth with USB 3.2 Gen2) features a USB-C downstream port that supports DisplayPort Alt mode for display expansion, 96W Power Delivery, Ethernet pass-through, and a second USB-C downstream port with 15W Power Delivery plus four ports USB-A for using additional peripherals. My 4K monitor also has a third USB-C downstream port for the KVM switch, allowing the keyboard and mouse connected to the USB hub to be swapped back and forth between different computers connected to the monitor's two USB-C ports. The Q27U3CV is also equipped with a DisplayPort output and supports HBR3's high-bandwidth DisplayPort for multiple sequential displays.
All three devices in the “Graphic Pro U3” series are also equipped with 3-watt speakers.
