The search for a new sports home remains difficult for Austria Salzburg.
The third proposal, which was born last Monday, also did not last for 24 hours. The Salzburg Exhibition Center, a site adjacent to the current football stadium in Maxglan and now also the site adjacent to the airport in the city of Mozart, is out of the question as an area.
The Austrian Postal Agency clearly rejected the new ideas of sponsor Max Escher: “The suggestions that are being circulated in the media will not come true. We are looking for a suitable location for a new distribution center in Salzburg,” says the spokesperson. “I rule out an exchange.”
Salzman: “Don’t give up”
Escher, who offered to build apartments at the new sports facility, paid for the exchange. The post office was to receive an estate of the same size in Bavaria, where the recipient came. A distribution center can also be built there.
But nothing will come for sure. Austrian President Salzmann confirmed the rumours. “I knew from the day before yesterday that it wouldn’t work. It’s difficult in Salzburg.” But giving up is not an option for the entrepreneur: “We have now come up with three ideas and we will not give up until you are finally buried.”
