Barcelona will have to dispense with striker Sergio Aguero for three months.
As the Spanish football club announced on Monday evening, the 33-year-old Argentine will have to undergo a treatment and diagnosis process.
Aguero was brought to a clinic for a heart scan last Saturday. The striker felt uncomfortable during the Catalans’ match against Alaves and was substituted before the end of the first half.
The cardiologist must now decide on the necessary treatment measures for an effective course of treatment. Due to a previous injury, the Argentine has already missed several competitive matches for the team with Viennese Youssef Demir this season.
Aguero joined FC Barcelona on a free transfer from English footballing champion Manchester City in May. In La Liga, he played from 2006 to 2011 for the current champions Atlético Madrid, with whom he also won the European League in 2010.
