DHB women won against USA below

The German hockey women got off to a furious start in the last stop of the pro-league season.

On Friday in Antwerp, Belgium, national coach Valentin Altenburg’s team defeated last-place USA 6-0 (4-0). In the final league game, the selection of the German Hockey Association (DHB) meets the Americans again on Monday (6:10 pm / DAZN).

Only 36 seconds were played before the vice-European champion went ahead: Charlotte Stabenhorst won the circle of shots against the entire opposition team and served to Lisa Nolte. Shortly after, Felicia Wiedermann (9′) followed with an Argentine backhand, before Celine Orus (26′) and Stabenhorst (28’/42′) added to the result. Widermann (59th) got the final score with his second international goal.

In the table, the DHB girls temporarily rose to fourth place and they can no longer hold fifth place. The winner of the Pro-League has already been decided: the reigning world and Olympic champions, the Netherlands, won the title early Monday in a match against Germany (2-1) – for the third time in the fourth edition of the tournament.
