Frankfurt without effort in the next round of the DFB Cup

Europa League winner Eintracht Frankfurt safely crossed the first cup barrier in the competitive debut of newcomer Mario Gotze. Oliver Glasner’s team scored a comfortable 4-0 (2-0) goal in the first round of the DFB Cup on Monday evening in the promoted second division 1 FC Magdeburg.

Last year, Glasner lost his first competitive match with Eintracht in the cup at third-division club SV Waldhof Mannheim, but this year Frankfurt celebrated with a superior first-round victory.

Schmid started the Bremen victory

Werder Bremen, promoted to the Bundesliga, sealed their task in the first round of the German Football Association on Monday with a simple effort thanks to a goal scored by Romano Schmid. The Hanseatic League won 2-1 (1-0) against the fourth division team Energy Cottbus.

Austrian Schmid scored a first-half lead in the 43rd minute, and Werder helped prevent a first round like that happened against Osnabrück a year ago. Marco Friedel also played for Werder.

The Berlin Confederation continues to shake

Union Berlin, on the other hand, was at the back, equalizing in the original time, and OFB player Clemens Tremmel finally passing the winning goal to Kevin Burns (114th position). Tremmel had already put the winning goal to his feet in the 109th minute, but passed the ball into the net.

Darmstadt lives up to my favorite role

The second division team, SV Darmstadt 98, also rose to its role as favourites for a 3-0 (2-0) victory at the third division stadium FC Ingolstadt. This left the Bundesliga with three clubs eliminated at the moment: Bayer Leverkusen, 1. FC Köln and Hertha Berlin.

Niko Antonic, who had been playing for the entire season, couldn’t stop Ingolstadt going out. Emir Karic was allowed to play for Darmstadt from the 79th minute and then quickly played the third goal for Darmstadt scored by Marcus Warming.
