Alexander Sverre left his first fight at the 2022 ATP Cup with mixed feelings: a win against Cameron Norie, though not a perfect win – “I could have played better in the first set, the second it was my tennis”. Sverev. But he also made it clear: “Unfortunately we lost the twins. So it’s not needed now.”
In the doubles division, the man from Hamburg stood up for Tim Butts, who was hit in the arm, but really did not help there, with Kevin Kravitz he finally lost in two sets. In the beginning John-Lenard Struff clearly drew the short straw against Don Evans, so the result was 1: 2.
So one thing is clear: the 3-0 win over Canada should be won against the United States around the unaffected John Isner and Taylor Fritz.
