India has reported a new rise in new infections, with 349,691 cases for the fourth day in a row.

The United States wants to support India in the fight against the rapidly growing corona infections.
A government spokesman told Reuters on Saturday that the United States was deeply concerned about India’s situation and was ready to provide additional assistance soon. A spokesman for the Indian embassy in Washington said representatives of the two countries were in talks to provide vaccine components and send medical personnel to India.

On Sunday, India recorded a new rise in new infections, with 349,691 cases for the fourth consecutive day. The health ministry said 2,767 people had died. This raised the number of corona deaths to 192,311.
