Linz takes his first steps as a coach

Will Robert Lenz’s coaching career be as successful as him as a player? On Saturday, the 37-year-old got off to a good start: After being introduced as the new head coach of Landesliga West Sattledt the previous week, he celebrated his 3-1 victory over Pettenbach on his debut.

“We quickly agreed he could work,” says newcomer Linz, who has completed his training as a regional association coach in the past. His goal at Sattledt is to say goodbye to the bottom of the table as quickly as possible. Lenz, who also currently serves in the House of Representatives near St. Oswald near Frächstadt, is captain of the Northeast Division I football boot team.

“Don’t let her down”

With 24 goals so far this season, the former striker from FC Fils, Greskirchen or WSC/Hertha has also played a key role in Mulfertler’s success run. “I’m not going to let this team down. There are only two games with Sattledt overlapping, but I’m going to play at Oswald,” Lenz says of the busy spring season. On Friday, he scored twice in a 3-1 win in Bad Kreuzen. Will he say goodbye with a title? He is very likely to give his player pass to Sattledt in the summer.
