On last night’s flight, the plane crashed about 4,000 feet (1.2 kilometers), and 7 people were hospitalized. “Everything flew all over the place,” says the wife of actor Matthew McConaughey on Instagram. The mother-of-three shares a snapshot of the damage to the plane’s passenger cabin.

Seven people were taken to hospitals
“The plane was in CHAOS and the turbulence continued,” says the 41-year-old, who only showed a small portion of the cabin at this point to protect privacy. “Thank God, everyone was safe,” Camilla explains.
Lufthansa Flight 469 was on its way from Austin (Texas, USA) to Frankfurt when it encountered the so-called “clear air turbulence” at an altitude of eleven kilometers over the state of Tennessee. They can occur without visible weather phenomena and prior warning. After flying through the turbulence, the pilots decided to make an emergency landing in Washington.
