Motorola Razr 2022 revealed with foldable OLED screen

The wait is over, Motorola has finally introduced the Moto Razr 2022. The new foldable device retains the distinctive clamshell design but features a better screen, dual cameras and main chipset.

The screen diagonal is 6.7 inches, which is the same size as the screen predecessor. But this is where the similarities end. The new OLED panel features a better hinge that seals completely when folded. Support HDR10+, 144Hz refresh rate, 32MP selfie camera in one punch hole. Of course, much better selfies can be taken using the dual camera on the back with the seemingly unchanged 2.7-inch external OLED display.

The main camera has a 50 MP 1 / 1.55 inch sensor and OIS. Motorola also uses the same camera in the Edge 30 Pro and S30 Pro. The wide-angle camera has a resolution of 13 MP and a field of view of 121 degrees.

The two previous Moto Razr phones had a Snapdragon 7xx chipset. On the other hand, the Moto Razr 2022 will be powered by the main processor Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 move it. Other specs include support for RAW recording, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and DC dimming. Motorola’s MyUI 4.0 is used as the surface, with some apps also running on the external display.

The Motorola Razr 2022 in black is already available for pre-order on the company’s Chinese website. Prices are CNY 5,999 (€862) for 8/128GB, CNY6,499 (€934) for 8/256GB, and CNY7,299 (€1,049) for 12/512GB. It is not yet known if Motorola will bring the foldable phone abroad.
