Next surprise! Young Violet defeats FAC

The Young Violets put their next exclamation mark into the relegation battle after last week’s upset victory over BW Linz.

In the 22nd round of the 2nd Admiral League, “Vilchin” celebrates a 2-1 away win over FAC.

Violet gets off to a good start and takes the lead in the sixth minute. Smrcka has plenty of space on the left and plays a sharp pass to the middle. There, Krasniqi wants to clear the ball in front of Kreiker, who is ready to shoot, but he directs the ball sadly towards his own goal.

As a result, a balanced game develops with good scenes from both sides, but the danger of scoring does not appear until again in the 30th minute. With a cross, James Holland finds Radonjic, a free in the middle who heads out to make it 2-0 after about eight minutes.

Not much happens until the end of the first half. Young Violet entered halftime with a 2-0 lead.

In the second half, FAC is getting more and more control of the game, but they can hardly create any convincing chances. Sparre blocked 0:3 in the 70th minute with a good save. In the first minute of stoppage time, Miljanić made the match exciting again with his goal.

In the end, young “violets” take a narrow 2: 1 lead over time.

After two straight wins, Violets are back in the fight for survival. With 21 points, Harald Suchard’s team is now in 15th place. Sturm Graz XIII loses three points. After the defeat, FAC remained in eighth place in the difficult midfield with 28 points.
