Nicole Schmidhofer will not start at Val d’Isère

TARVIS – Austrian ski racer Nicole Schmidhofer will not be participating in the sprints this fourth weekend in Advent, which takes place in Val d’Isère. Thus, Styrian will not return to the place where she was badly injured last season. In the meantime, she wants to drive a lot of training kilometers in Tarvisio and then tap into the full potential of the January races in order to qualify for the Beijing Winter Olympics.

Even if Mrs. ÖSV is doing well, she says she still lacks the necessary conviction and self-confidence. In that sense, her head wants it while the body is still receding. While she was 15th in Super-G at Lake Louise, she ended up outside the points in St. Moritz. In order to secure participation in the games under the sign of the five rings, good results must be achieved. The 32-year-old also points to the fact that every contestant wants to be at the Beijing Winter Olympics, but only the best will qualify for the highlights of the season. Certainly not an easy task in the strong ÖSV women’s team.
