Nintendo Switch 2 will surprise you

It seems more and more that Nintendo will be introducing new hardware in the foreseeable future. The Switch is in its seventh year and rumors are growing of a successor. There’s no announcement yet, but Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser is hoping the Switch 2 will come as a surprise.

The Nintendo Switch is pretty old now, but that doesn’t stop Nintendo from continuing to release great titles like Tears of the Kingdom and Pikmin 4 on it. However, there should be a successor at some point, and according to various rumors and analysts, we can expect one as early as 2024. It is not known exactly what the new hardware will look like.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser is now hinting that he can’t comment on any of the new Switch’s features. However, he revealed that Nintendo always intends to surprise customers. The company is always looking for new ways to play.

Therefore, there is little concrete information about the Switch’s successor. Doug Bowser points out that the Switch’s portability is a major reason the console continues to sell so well. But of course that doesn’t mean that a successor, even a Switch 2, can’t bring about unexpected developments.

When will Switch 2 be released?

It is not yet known when Nintendo plans to release a new Switch. As mentioned earlier, analysts believe it will be released in 2024. It’s also worth noting that Nintendo hasn’t scheduled any major games for this fall yet, though that could change at the last minute.
