Spinal Cord Research – Wings for Life World Run: Rural youth raise 35,000 euros

Rural youth started at the same time with all participants from all over the world with a common goal that the fishing car – which started moving after 30 minutes – would not overtake them for as long as possible. Sports constitution is not necessarily at the forefront during the race, but rather that all entrance fees and donations flow 100% into spinal cord research and should help treat paraplegia in the future.

The sixth largest team in the world

The Rural Youth Team nationwide did everything and were happy that they could contribute to the good cause. The team of Landjugend Austria raised € 35,000 for spinal cord research! With nearly 1,600 runners, the Rural Youth team is sixth in the world, behind Marcel Herscher and Ö3.

“Social responsibility is an important component of rural youth, as many of the charitable projects that have been successfully implemented demonstrate. By participating in the Wings for Life World Run, we support the respectful treatment of people and nature,” says Kerstin Lechner and Norbert Allram – Regional Department of LJ Lower Austria is proud.
