TOKYO (AP) – Japan’s softball team has already awarded the Olympic host its tenth gold medal at the Summer Games in Tokyo.

The Japanese won the final 2-0 against the United States and celebrated their second victory in Beijing since 2008. The Americans have previously won gold three times since their first show in Atlanta in 1996. In London in 2012 and in Rio in 2016, the sport was not part of the Olympic program.
