The Next Generation Cup is already known far beyond national borders and the continent, so it’s always good to welcome teams known for their incredible quality. That’s what it’s all about: to be on the move against different playing styles and to fight the resistance – this third position is also a good affirmation for the boys!
I am very satisfied with the way the Next Generation Cup has gone and the overall development. The organization was great, my colleagues did a great job. The importance is huge – both internally and in European youth football. Sometimes it is the case that well-known clubs approach us and inquire about next year. In this tournament, compared to the national competition, there is a higher level of quality “on the way”, but also different game ideas, different playing styles and cultures – this makes a big difference for our children!
I’m very happy with the boys! It wasn’t too long ago that we as Red Bull Football Academy reached the semi-finals – so it was a great success in terms of results, but also because of the performance, especially in the semi-finals. I’m glad we rewarded ourselves again with a great team performance and third place! These international comparisons are very important for boys. Also so that they know what steps you have to climb if you want to reach the top.
