Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshuk has announced new escape routes to evacuate civilians from disputed areas.
And about the port city of Mariupol in the Donetsk region, which has been under siege for days, she said on Friday: “We are waiting and hope that this road will work today.” Trucks with relief supplies and empty buses on their way from Zaporizhia to Mariupol.

An attempt is also planned in the Donetsk region to bring people from Volnovaka to Pokrovsk. In the Kharkiv region, there will again be a passage between the small besieged town of Izyum and Luswa.
In the Zaporizhia region there should be two roads from Polohy and Enerhodar to the regional capital. North of Kyiv is planned to bring people from four places towards Kyiv. The buses are supposed to transport refugees westward from three cities in the northwest Kyiv region to the city of Zhytomyr.
